Logger Pro
can import videos of your experiment. You can then
synchronize
the video to your data, so when the experiment is replayed, the data
and
video will be viewed together. To perform a synchronization, you must
be able to identify a time on the graph that corresponds to a
particular frame in the video.
A tutorial covering movies is available. Choose Open from the File menu, then look in the Experiments folder to access it.
When you are ready to match your data to activity of your
movie,
click
from the bottom of the movie object.

You can select which Data Set you want
synchronized to the
video.
If the Synchronize Video Analysis Data Set with Selected Data
Set
check box is checked, the times generated by
the video analysis tool will be from the selected Data Set instead
of the raw times
in the movie.
The Graph Time is the time you have
selected from your
graph
(or manually entered in the field) that best corresponds to the chosen
frame (or manually entered Movie
Time)
of your movie.
For example, you might have a movie that starts 0.75833s (as
shown
above) before your
sensor data. Sync the movie to the sensor data using some event in the
video. Now when you do video analysis for the movie, the time entered
for a point on the first frame will be -0.75833s if the box
above is checked, since that corresponds to the graph time. If the box
is
not checked, a time of zero will be entered for the first frame.
Check the box next to Use This Synchronization In Video Capture to apply the synchronized offset to subsequent captured videos.
Synchronizing
Your Movie with Existing Data
Data collected with a computer can easily be synchronized with
a
movie. A tutorial covering synchronization is available. Choose Open
from the File
menu, then select 11-1 Working with Movies.cmbl to access
it.
to open the Movie Synchronization
dialog . To synchronize the movie with the data, you need to first
find a spot in
the
data that is easy to identify in the movie, e.g. the time when a ball
reaches
the peak of a toss. Click the graph at the time you are using to sync.
Next, use the slider and the next frame/previous frame buttons
to find
the
frame
in the movie that corresponds with the data point you identified in the
graph.
